Problems in the enterprise management system

In article the main problems arising at stockpile management of the organization are opened. The reasons of emergence of stocks, their need for activity on the enterprises were considered. The methods increasing effective management of stocks were studied.

Industrial enterprises are characterized by the following problems of warehouse operations related to the external environment.

1. The domestic practice of organizing warehousing activities in the early 90's relied on the use of standards, typical decisions and recommendations, which were developed by various research institutes for the purpose of rational consumption of resources of a single owner - the state. This centralized function is no longer implemented, as a result, there is no methodological support for warehouse management decisions.

2. The warehouse network inherited from the former economic system was created in the conditions of a single owner and does not meet the tasks of optimal organization of movement of goods in a market economy. The formation of warehouse systems in modern conditions requires the right topological decisions: where to place warehouses and how many there should be. As practice shows, there is also a problem here: the development and placement of warehouses is carried out today without proper justification. As a result, a warehouse built (or purchased) at a certain location begins to determine the pattern of movement of the goods. It is much more logical to first construct the correct scheme of movement of the goods, and then place the required number of warehouses in the right places.

3. Information and analytical subsystems of warehouse process management, as a rule, do not provide an opportunity to estimate the capacity costs of management and commercial decisions. As a result, another problem is that staff is perceived by company staff as a system with unlimited resources.

Internal problems, which are directly related to the technological process of the warehouse, are that it is often not optimized. In order to optimize it, the following principles of organization of material flows in a warehouse should be observed: proportionality, parallelism, continuity, rhythm, precision and fluidity. Violation of these principles entails interruptions in the work of the staff. The problem of slowing down the speed of commodity circulation and, as a consequence, reducing the efficiency of inventory use can be solved by reducing the amount of substandard (unfeasible), illiquid commodity inventories in warehouses, which can be achieved by using modern methods of accounting for inventories premature delivery of goods from newer parties, etc.).
